Questions

Good to know

When does SpendScout launch?

We're opening early access in stages, starting with waitlist members. Sole traders and landlords facing the April 2027 MTD deadline will be first in line.

Will SpendScout work with Making Tax Digital?

Yes. SpendScout sends your quarterly updates through HMRC-recognised software, so you stay compliant from day one.

Will the AI email my suppliers without asking?

No. Scout drafts every email for you to check. Nothing goes out, and nothing is filed with HMRC, until you approve it. Every message clearly says it's sent on behalf of your business.

Is this tax advice?

Scout points out mainstream, legitimate reliefs and shows the HMRC rule behind each one. It never suggests schemes or aggressive avoidance. For anything complex, you can pass it to an accountant.

Do I still need an accountant?

Many users won't. If you want one, SpendScout prepares a clean year-end pack for your accountant to review, which usually means a smaller bill.

What does it cost?

There'll be a free plan with your MTD dates, deadline reminders and a one-off Scout savings scan. The full plan comes with a guarantee: if Scout doesn't find savings at least equal to your fee, next month is free. Founding members on the waitlist keep their launch price for life.
